Pocahontas Aluminum Company: A Legacy of Quality, Now Strengthened Through Strategic Growth
Pocahontas Aluminum Company (PAC) was founded in 1963 by Mr. Edd Rose, who began with one part-time employee and a focus on storm doors and windows. In 1966, his son L.D. Rose took ownership, expanding the product line and moving the company into larger facilities as demand grew. After serving in the Army, L.D. returned in 1968 and pivoted the business toward door manufacturing, initially for the truck cap and portable building markets. Over time, the company shifted focus toward mobile home and mobile office customers, eventually phasing out other product lines to meet growing demand.
In the 1970s, PAC formed a key distributorship agreement that allowed for streamlining operations and long-term growth. By the late 1990s, PAC had introduced a window product line and constructed a 50,000-square-foot metal manufacturing facility, along with expanded office and support space. The company’s product line diversified and its workforce expanded, supporting customers across industries such as modular housing, food trucks, and deer blinds.
PAC has long been a cornerstone of the Pocahontas, Arkansas community—supporting local employment and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and vendor partners.
A New Chapter with WinTech
In May 2024, PAC entered a new era when it was acquired by Window Technology, Inc. (WinTech), a leading employee-owned manufacturer of building products based in Monett, Missouri. The acquisition, finalized May 9, 2024, marks a major milestone in PAC’s journey. By joining the WinTech family, PAC gains access to expanded resources, operational synergies, and a larger platform for innovation.
“This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to combine the strengths of two great companies,” said Jack Williams, President/CEO of WinTech. “Together, we will enhance
customer solutions and deliver even greater value for our employee-owners and stakeholders.”
Recommitting to Customer Service
As part of this transition, PAC is taking the opportunity to re-center its priorities—placing even greater emphasis on serving customers with responsiveness, reliability, and personal attention. The company remains committed to the legacy of quality and integrity it has built over six decades, now backed by the strength and support of WinTech’s employee-owner culture.
The PAC brand will continue to operate from its Pocahontas location, honoring its local roots while aligning with WinTech’s vision of long-term, sustainable growth. With a renewed focus on customer satisfaction and product excellence, PAC is well-positioned to meet evolving market needs and drive continued success for years to come.
